Eemil Ylä-Nikkilä

Hi! I’m Eemil, an Applied Math MSc student at Aalto University.

Here, I might occasionally share my thoughts about life, tech, markets, things I’m learning, and whatever else I find interesting.

I’m especially into math, the machine learning space, and theoretical economics, but I'm ultimately driven by how they help us understand the human element. I’ve interned in quantitative research, worked at a startup, contributed in academic research, tackled strategy and ops in large corporates, and spent probably way too many weekends at hackathons. I’ve also fallen down the rabbit hole of endurance sports, having completed an IRONMAN and currently building towards a marathon PR in October.

If anything here sparks a thought or a conversation, that’s all I can hope for. Really glad you’re here.
